March New Moon in Pisces
Lately, my dreams have been wild. Some mornings I wake up feeling like I ran a marathon, other mornings I wake up with the sense that I have conquered huge blockage that has been preventing me from moving forward. I’ve even had dreams about water and a large orange Octopus to go along with the Pisces energy. I believe there is a rumbling going on below the surface that is bringing about change and ultimately harmony, if we allow it. This New Moon in Pisces coming up is a great time to dream. What are you most passionate about? What are you spending your time thinking about? Are you dreaming big of what you will manifest next or are you stuck in the past, reliving old pains that never seem to go away?
Let’s focus on the dreams and allowing them to change us from the inside out. One of my favorite products in the world is Soothing Rose Hibiscus Skin Detox tea, by Yogi Tea. When I drink this tea 3 or more times a day, my skin literally glows. I feel hydrated and need a lot less lotion on my face. I look years younger and feel great. If I forget to drink this tea, I can tell immediately. My whole body from the inside out feels drier and older. I’m not saying it’s an anti-aging magical elixir and it might not be right for you, but it’s one of my self-care requirements. It’s healing me from the inside out. Water is such an important part of Pisces energy and our own healthy way of living. This is the kind of magic we are working with this week. What can you heal from the inside to better your life on the outside?
This is a balancing New Moon. There are two sides to its energy which can be balanced, provided you work with it. For people used to quick fixes, that are less grounded and more instant gratification types, this New Moon can be a struggle for them. They want an easier solution than healing from the inside out. They want to just put sun screen on, powder their faces and look healthy. They are reluctant to do the work required to heal from within and, as a result, this New Moon will frustrate them. They will feel stuck; like they can’t move forward. However, for someone that has been working through life questions and issues, and the healing work required, this New Moon will support them on every level. These people have recognized that healing must come from within and that it often happens in a very slow and natural way. They begin their journey to health by taking the small steps that add up over time. They heal not just the physical but the mental, emotional and spiritual. These important actions allow them embrace this New Moon and all her rebirth and manifesting energy.
New Moon in Pisces Ritual
Let’s use the Pisces water energy for this New Moon. We want to celebrate the Pisces dream energy and use it to get clear on our dreams. Where have you grown since last month, last year and even last week? What big or small changes have you made that helped you move forward? How is your health and practical everyday life going? Are there places where we can use this energy to keep moving towards a happier and more balanced state? What have your dreams been like lately? Are you making sure you are still grounded in the present time so you don’t veer off course?
Let’s use water to honor the elements with this New Moon. This can be as simple as having a cup of tea, taking a long bath, swimming in the ocean or soaking your feet. We want to do bring as much water as we can into this Ritual. I will be placing bowls with fresh flowers in them along with my crystals around the bowls to honor the energy. We want to imagine our dreams and energy combining with the water to help us survive. We want to use this energy to feel our intentions, water is life and we can infuse it with our magic.
If you have any Aquamarine, Amethyst, Jade or Labradorite , bring them out and build a little altar around water. If you have a tarot deck, let’s pull out the Moon card since this is the card that relates to Pisces energy. We want the mystical and magical qualities of Pisces to come through. We want to be in touch with your dreams when we are awake as well as asleep. Build a little altar around you or near you so that not only are we working with the written word, we are also being present for this ritual in a physical way as well.
Take out your journal and think about your dreams lately. Where you have worked to manifest your dreams in your life? Are you working to improve your relationship with food? Are you drinking enough water? Are you taking the time to honor the rhythms of the moon and your feminine side? Are you dreaming and sharing those dreams with people you trust? Think back on all the small steps you have taken to bring your dreams alive? Let’s hand over any fears we might have around our dreams this New Moon to the water and the moon. Write it all down in your journal so you have a copy to reference when we see this energy again.
We also want to use the Pisces energy of intuition to help us create our dreams. Have you been psychic lately? Are you manifesting more? Or are you feeling stuck with your dreams and nothing is moving forward? Let’s be creative with how we can move forward to create our dreams into reality. Maybe it includes scheduling two hours or more a week to just be creative. Get dirty with paint, or soil or flour while you dream. Maybe this energy can manifest with planning trips or traveling. Or maybe you want to go back to school, spend time with a group of people and be supported while you work towards creating your dream. These are all options that this energy will support.
Now on a separate piece of paper (and in your journal if you want a record), write down the new intentions that have sprung up with this New Moon and these creative ways of being. Pay attention to your dreams, to the small signs that show up during the day and to any new directions that you may see coming up. We want to use this New Moon to take a mini break and see where the magic is coming back into our lives. Are you finally ready to start working on that art project again? Is there room in your life to devote a few hours a week to that book you want to finish, the website you want to start, to plan that trip you want to take? Is this New Moon bringing up desires around compassion and empathy? Are you ready to attempt a No Spend 30-day challenge or to finally start dating again? Maybe you are ready to set some intentions around bringing in the love you want and deserve? Write it all down and know in your core that by taking small action steps on a regular basis and being open to the Universe and to Magic, you can manifest what you want. It may take time and work, but it can happen.
Once you have written down your intentions, your dreams and any action steps you will be taking to help support these dreams, along with reasons why you know it will happen, read it out loud to the water. Again, we want the water energy to soak up the energy of our voice up and share it with the Universe. If you are doing this Ritual with your lady friends, read out loud what you are comfortable sharing with them while drinking a cup of tea. Once you have read your Ritual and can feel the energy being released into the Universe, drink some water, soak in a tub, take a shower or release your ritual to a body of water. Sit with the water as long as you need to. Look at the water and just be present in knowing that you are moving forward, even if it feels incredibly slow right now. You are becoming a healthier and better version of yourself by doing this work, by struggling when seeing the injustices that happen to our fellow humans and the frustrating work attempting to change them. You are doing this work every time you decide to cook yourself a healthy meal at home and not only save money but also feed yourself real food. You are doing this work by resting, relaxing and spending time with your loved ones.
If you can, keep the altar up for a week. Give thanks to it daily and work with it. Move things around. Spend some time with one item daily to infuse the item with your intention and be open to allowing the energy of the candle, crystal or tarot cards to send energy back to you. For the good of all, to harm none, including yourself. So be it.
