New Moon in Taurus
Ritual for Finding Some Answers
I have been in an intense battle lately. This battle is unlike anything I have ever experienced, but there is a shift starting to happen and I thank the New Moon energy for these changes. This New Moon in Taurus is coming in with directions and encouragements about my next moves in the battle. They are power moves that will provide some relief and bring me closer to the life I need to be living.
As the New Moon energy started to arrive, I took to spending my days outside. I’ve been trying to walk five miles a day for my health. I found the perfect app to map my routes and matched it with play list that keeps me going.
Step by step, I am finally beginning to hear my body’s voice. I’m starting to ask her questions in order to get to know her better. I am wondering, and asking the universe, what a life would look like that allowed me to focus on my health while also functioning in the world in a more balanced way? Then the New Moon energy hit and answers started coming. Each answer brought me back to myself. Back to the days when I lived in NYC, working as a nanny, and used to walk all morning with the kids. It brought me back to a time where walking and writing were my twin passions; a time when I felt confident and loved. So, in this new walking regimen, I started to branch out in the locations of my walk. New parks started to appear. I started to add more miles each day and so new neighborhoods are being explored. Miles are walked and answers are coming. Slowly, but nothing concrete yet, the answers, options and ideas are coming. Pieces of the puzzle are coming together. I’m going to be able to write a whole book about losing hope and then finding it again. This was a week that had me say to one of my good friends, “I think I have lost hope”.
What can you do in your life that will help you to find some answers?
I fully believe in the power of Earth Energy and the importance of spending time in nature. Taurus energy supports this. What can you do in Nature that will help you to find some answers? Would a day of weeding allow you to give your mind a break so it can see new solutions? Would a day hiking in the mountains allow you to come back into your body and feel if there is anything missing in your life? Would spending the day on a blanket in the park allow you to give your muscles a rest and allow for some creative energy to arrive? Would a beautiful birthday road trip to a Magical National Park help your spirit to be fulfilled and sparkle just a little bit more?
Let’s get outside and see what kind of Magic and answers this New Moon has for us. Let’s get our hands dirty. Let’s put our feet on the ground. Let’s breath in fresh air and notice the subtle changing of the seasons. Let’s explore what our next steps are toward a place where we are more loved, more secure in our world and more connected to community and our life’s purpose.
Get outside. Spend a minimum of two hours outside doing something you crave. This could even include doing nothing, but it needs to be done outside. It could also involve mucking out horse stalls, feeding birds, watching kids in a park. It’s whatever will provide you with enough space to relax your brain and allow for the New Moon to bring forward some answers. Maybe it’s SUP Yoga or that evening Kayak trip. Just go outside and see what happens.
Then let me know what answers have come to you and I will hopefully be back to a weekly basis again so you can come along on this next phase of the journey.
