Summer Solstice and New Moon in Cancer
This summer solstice and New Moon in Cancer is all about pampering yourself and preparing to harvest the changes that have happened in the first six months of 2017. This Summer Solstice and New Moon are excellent points to set the course for the next six months in terms of what do you need in your life to allow you to heal, to feel more joy and to grow into that person you desire to be.
I feel like a butterfly coming out of the cocoon that has become too small and cramped. I have had some major changes happen not just in the last few weeks but over the course of the last year. Some good, some hard and some scary. All have required change. Change of lifestyle, change of heart, change of direction. Luckily because of Ritual Coaching, I have the new plan already started so when it was time to make the changes, they were much easier than they could have been. My old life had become too confined, too rigid, and full of too much stress. My body is the first place where these blocks will manifest. Over the last year, I have gotten sick. The most sick I have been since my Spine Injury that left me bedridden almost 10 years ago. At first I tried hard to balance everything but I couldn’t. Slowly things started to float away. My energy, my social life, my love of the outdoors, my love of my studio, my confidence and my self-esteem. But in the small moments I was following my intuition to building the foundation for my next chapter. I was meeting with new people, I was getting out of the city more, I found a great new therapist, I applied and got into Grad School. I did so much foundation work that when it was time to let go of my old life, I was ready.
This next week has the Summer Solstice followed by the Nurturing New Moon in Cancer. It’s time to love our journeys and to plan how to pamper and take care of ourselves for the nextfew seasons. We can’t function on this level of stress for much longer before we burn out. A community, a family or a whole world of burned out people is not good. We are tearing ourselves and our communities apart. Let’s use this week to not only do a ritual to help plan the next cycle of the year to Harvest what we have grown, to let die what needs to die but let’s also set some intentions on how we can help ourselves, our loved ones and our communities to heal.
What Do You Want To Harvest
Think back about all the intentions you have been setting over the last year of your life. Which ones are ready to be harvested? Are there places in your life that might need a little weeding or maybe more water? Are there places that need to be cleaned out and prep for the next adventure? We want to use this Solstice to think about Harvest and preparing for the winter. We have a beautiful week that will support us as we let go of things that no longer help us and we prepare for new intentions. What do you need in your life to pamper yourself and help you tend to your life? What does your family and/or community need? Right now, I need to slow my life down so I can help others. I need the space to do volunteer work and help to make my city a better place. On a more personal level, I need to tend to my health. I need to slow my life down enough that I can come back into balance physically, emotionally and spiritually. I need to spend time in my studio. I need to spend time with my clients. I need to spend time writing and going on adventures. I want to remember a time in my life that was not filled with anxiety, stress and constant negative feelings.
Write down what you are ready to let go of for the Solstice and burn it. Write it all down. Mentally, physically emotionally. Are you ready to let go of your career path that is no longer working for you? Are you ready to let go of childhood wounds that need to be healed? Are you ready to let go of unavailable men that string you along but have no intention of getting their act together? Let it all go. You are a magical creature that deserves to be loved. Sometimes to find love, we must let go of what is blocking us to finding it. Write it all down and light it on fire. Tell the Universe you release this stuff for the good of all and to harm none.
For the New Moon, write down what you want to manifest and harvest for the next six months. What do you want to focus on to help you bring in more love, more comfort, more Joy. Write down places in your communities where you want to help make this world a better place. Volunteer work is healing, it’s soothing, and it’s good for all of us. Do you want to eat healthier? Spend time moving and enjoying nature? Are you ready to spend time with available and loving people that help you to feel special and loved? Are you ready to step into your dreams and change your life? Are you ready to manifest an abundant life? Abundance is not just about money but it’s about time, it’s about joy, it’s about a life where you wake up content and happy.
This week is all about letting go of my career for the last 15 years and embracing my new path. I am setting intentions around Ritual Coaching, my health and healing my mother wound that has erupted lately and is ready to be healed. This change of the seasons is all about harvesting the good in me and letting go of what is no longer working. I am ready to let go of all the unavailable men that like me but don’t love me. I am ready to let go of the idea that a corporation sets my self-worth versus the reality which is, I set my self-worth. I am ready to get clear on the life style that I need to live with so I can be healthy, happy and able to help others. This lifestyle is not the way I have been living for the last 15 years. I am ready to let go and welcome new connections, new people and new opportunities.
Save you New Moon list. We will want to look back at in over the next six months and watch what is harvested, what needs a little more time and what is no longer working for us.
Have a beautiful week. If you can, go to a spa, take a walk in nature or cook yourself a comforting meal. This week is all about self-care, pampering and opening our hearts. The cancer sign is a loving sign that just wants peace, a cozy home and good food.
