Weekly Energy Ritual
Scorpio reminds us that we need to clean the wounds out for them to heal properly. The “cleaning” out has taken the form of change and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon. It can be looked at as very scary, and at the same time, long overdue. On a personal level, this change is the light at the end of the tunnel, the awakening after a dark night. It’s the first thaw after a long winter; much needed and welcomed.
We are watching Women all over rise up. I am inspired by people showing their confidence by doing do what’s right and helping to make the change we need as a human community. I am watching wounds open up to be healed. I am watching attempts to create something better. But there is also resistance to this change, fear of it and denial that it’s urgently needed. We ask ourselves, how do we join in on this change to help create the new world?
I’m coming out of my own dark night and currently taking inventory of what changes need to happen in my own life; what needs to be fixed and what can be planted in the new space. I’m amazed at all the new space in my life - allowing me to become who I want to become. It’s not a “wanting” anymore, its more of an “allowing”. I am manifesting my next stage and I can finally feel it coming closer. Lately I’m spending time with the most amazing people; people who are in my life because they bring love and magic to my world. I’m also creating boundaries to help me go deeper into this change. These are loving boundaries that feel good and help me to feel safer in this world. And the best part of it; these people are the ones that are helping me understand I need these boundaries. I am so grateful for all these wonderful people that make me feel so loved and wanted in this world.
I feel myself sinking deep roots into this new world. I have let go of, and lost, so much over the last few years but at the same time gained a better sense of self and my spirit. As part of this I have recently returned to leading New Moon Rituals in person. I love guiding people to help them set New Moon intentions. I love teaching people about magic and helping them learn to access it within themselves. I have also been working on creating my New Years Intention Kits. I’m ready for 2018 and the new energy it will bring. I know we still have a lot of change to work through, but I am ready for it this year. Being a strong and powerful woman is no longer something to fear or shy away from. We all need to stand up and lead our communities towards health and inclusivity. I’m sending this energy into the Universe in order to bring about change on my local level, in my family and in my own body and life.
What I am saying for this New Moon is let’s embrace our strength. Let’s realize we are all Wonder Women and call that energy in. We need to protect those that can’t protect themselves, we need to think of others and we need to bring change to our societies. Let’s set intentions around what that can feel like in our world.
Lately one of my favorite things is volunteering at our local Women’s and Family Shelter, Mary’s Place. It is feeding my spirit and soul to connect with other volunteers and those committed to working in a social service position. I love knowing that even the smallest task has huge payback for others. I’m digging deeply into this energy for myself and for others. Volunteer work and doing my in-person Ritual work is helping me to feel like Wonder Woman. It’s also teaching me to be more connected with my body and realize when I need to take a break. I am starting to honor my needs in a way that I once thought was wrong. I feel a much stronger sense of self and of magic as I settle down and in to this energy.
Becoming Wonder Woman
What activates you to feel like a Wonder Woman in your life? What can you do to help not only yourself, but others this stressful, consumer-obsessed, holiday season? Where can you volunteer? How can you help someone you may know deal with adversity? Whose life can you brighten up? What can you give others that will fill up your spirit well and help bring about the change we all need? What can you do to feel like Wonder Woman? On the flip side, how can you help yourself? How about hosting a party but letting others bring the food? What about letting a relative take care of your kids for a few hours so you can simply sleep or rest? How about ordering take out so you can finally binge watch a show you have been wanting to watch but just don’t have the time. We need to practice being a Wonder Woman that also takes care of herself enough that she has the strength to keep going.
Let’s use this week to make a list of things we can do between now and the end of the year to help us prepare and feel strong for the New Year. Let’s do things that help others while also feeding our soul. Let’s enjoy this Season for what it truly is, a time to slow down, recharge and show that we care for others. Let’s give love and allow ourselves to receive love as well.
Write down your list as if it is a holiday list. Color it, add stickers and hang it up so you can look at it during those times you feel overwhelmed. This list will help guide you through the holiday season and into the New Year when we all need Wonder Women to help lead us into the future.
Let’s also use some fire energy this week to help celebrate this energy. Find a new candle and light it at night when you are ready to refill your well. Allow the light and fire energy to refill your well. Light this candle as often as you can until the candle is done. Imagine yourself as the best version of Wonder Woman that you can be. Find strength and determination in this ritual. Be open to this important change that will help others. Find the strength to fight the darkness that is amongst us now and focus on bringing more light into this world.
We are preparing to put 2017 to bed and embrace 2018 but we still need our strength to do it. Stay strong and be your own version of Wonder Woman.
