We Are Not Alone-
This past week has been intense. Wave after wave of change came at us. New realities are setting in and there is a surge of energy coming through. The new moon taught us that nothing will be normal for a while. Aquarius takes a different road and after this week, we have realized that we need to be ready to adapt and respond to meet this change where it is at. Our new normal is that nothing will be normal.
The energy that is coming in is strong “we are not alone” energy. This energy started to hit before the new moon and will continue through the week and possibly the year. My local community has been growing and changing along with my internal world. My aloof and independent nature is giving away to the realization that I want to be part of something. My community is expanding and becoming filled with people I am consistently impressed by. Strong, kind, good natured people that want to make the world better. I am not shying away from social media or hard discussions because my goal is to learn, to expand my point of view and to remain engaged with my community. Every conversation I had this week was an important mixture of the current state of our country along with the current state of our personal lives and community. I made plans with friends for fun stuff and for activities that are important to our communities. I will no longer shy away from real and hard topics because I’m afraid of not being liked. I believe we are diving into these discussions because of the realization that “we are not alone”.
I also had heart-openings this week. I resolved and finished – quite quickly - a couple of projects I had been avoiding. What is left is a heart-opening of sorts. I want to use the space where the avoidance lived to become more vulnerable to those I trust and love. I want to have my heart open and connect with people because that energy feels so much better than running or avoiding. It also feels better to focus on my dreams and work towards them than to procrastinate and hold myself back. It’s good to balance all of these things and not forget that our dreams are woven into our communities. We are not alone. We need the help of those around us while we move towards our dreams. We need our communities to be strong, safe and prosperous. To do this, we all need to take action as best we can.
As I shed tears this week because communities were being torn apart, I also shed tears this weekend because people came together to help. I truly believe that the more we help others, the more help we will receive from the Universe and our community.
We Are Not Alone Ritual
Loneliness has become far too normal. We will be blessed with signs all around us that we are not alone. Let’s set some intentions this week to counter loneliness, to embrace the fact we are not alone and to connect with others. Write down places in your life where you feel lonely. This could be at your job where tensions with certain coworkers have left you feeling insecure about your place on the team. This could be in your relationships where the lack of communication causes you to feel alone, even when you are sitting next to someone you deeply care about. This could come from your own shyness that keeps you making new friends, even when you just met someone you really want to get to know better. Let’s take all these places where we are feeling unsteady and commit to letting go of the avoidance energy that is holding us back, and to find the positive angle that will allow us to move forward. Maybe going out of your way to be the friendly person first will help to heal the loneliness? Maybe expanding your community and becoming happy with your life will allow your loved ones to want to open up again? Maybe inviting a new friend out to dinner to get to know them better will allow for a new community to emerge. Let’s move towards the positive energy in our own lives so that we can help others that are struggling. The more we self-care and connect with others, the stronger our world becomes.
When you have written down the parts of your life where you feel loneliness, burn this list. Release it. Let it go. Next, write down 5 things you can do this week to replace these uncomfortable feelings. Can you make dinner for someone to show them you care? Can you bring treats for your coworkers to start opening up the door more? Can you connect with new and old friends and tell them you are working on building your community? All of these actions will have strong results and will allow for more heart openings. They will help us to realize, We Are Not Alone.
